Introduction



The First Gulf Pharma-Medical Conference: Making a Difference in Infectious Diseases is a collaborative scientific and informative event organized by Bahrain Pharmacists Society and the Medical Department at Salmaniya Medical Complex in Bahrain with valuable support from Saudi Pharmaceutical Society. The field of infectious diseases is growing rapidly and its development is making tremendous impacts in medical sciences and pharmaceuticals. The importance and significance can be gauged by the fact that it has made huge advancements over the course of time and is continuing to influence various sectors.

The GPMC is an ideal opportunity for connecting pharmacists, clinicians, microbiologists and other health professions with a common interest in infectious diseases and provides a friendly conference for the exchange of scientific advances in the prevention, diagnosis and management of clinical infectious diseases. This conference is designed to provide health professionals with up-to-date, evidence-based information on commonly encountered infectious diseases, while suggesting practical approaches to clinical management.

The interactive and discussion-based format of the conference will encourage audience participation through dynamic lectures, case-based studies, and hands-on workshops. The GPMC will grant an excellent opportunity for the delegates from different health professions to interact with the world class speakers and multidisciplinary experts.
